SCHOOL & KINDERGARDEN

We invite kindergardens and schools to a two hour experience. First, the group visits the exhibition with its originals to afterwards work together with artists in the studio. Each exhibition is matched with topics and workshops to choose from.

MORNINGS AT THE MUSEUM SINCLAIR-HAUS

In the mornings, the museum opens exclusively for pre-arranged tours of student or kindergarten groups who come to visit the exhibition and then work artistically at the studio. We offer age-appropriate formats and subjects which are related to the current exhibitions in content and practical approach. Dates by appointment (maximum of 20 persons, larger groups will be divided).

STUDENTS AND KINDERGARDEN CHILDREN AT THE MUSEUM

1 hour visit to the exhibition + 1 hour in the Studio
Participation fee: 50 € per group plus 2 € per person for materials

PAINTING WITH EARTH

It is astounding how many different earth colours can be discerned in Mario Reis’ nature watercolours in the exhibition: he mounts white canvas in rivers all around the world, and days later, he retrieves them – dyed with alluvial soils – as pictures.
Students will paint images of nature at the Studio, using earth pigments and natural binding agents.

PLANT FROTTAGE

The wide spectrum of the exhibition awakens our curiosity, and thus we go in search of structures: parts of plants with interesting surfaces will be placed underneath paper, which is then rubbed, making the structures of bark, wood grain and leaf veins visible. The frottage patterns will then be assembled in landscape collages.

PRINTING NATURAL PATTERNS

The prints of tree discs by the artist Peter Emch inspire students to experiment with printing. Using high-pressure techniques such as styrodur printing, lino print, natural self-printing or material printing, forms of nature are reproduced: on paper, we see blossoms, the grain of leaves, honeycombs, nests or flocks of birds.
